Apparently the South Carolina coast is amazing in early April, well at least that’s what we experienced. Nicole and Zachery’s wedding took place at their family’s private residence in the massive 20,000 acres of the beautiful coastal community known as Palmetto Bluff.
The bluff is a giant playground for photographers and filmmakers alike. The few locations we had time to travel to did not disappoint. Nicole was a veteran of the bluff and showed us one of her favorite locations which was the perfect tunnel of palms with a sandy road running straight through it. I could have spent hours there! (As you can see, it ended up as our cover shot)
We were able to shoot at 5 different locations. The ceremony took place at waterside chapel, which as the name suggests is right on the water. It was a quaint little chapel with a lot of character and if you decide to research it you will find out why.
The guys got ready at a friend’s guest house and my assistant had some fun with his new mavic drone getting some aerial shots of them riding bikes through the dense wood. I was shooting over at the parents of the bride’s house for her getting ready coverage. The house was beautiful with incredible light and enough room to maneuver around and get some amazing prep footage. The reception also took place there where they set up a tent that was nestled in the coastal forest of their backyard. I was also able to capture some really great aerial footage of the bluff with my phantom 4 pro. It’s amazing how beautiful it is there from 400 feet in the air!
Both the ceremony and reception were flawless. The friends and family were very welcoming. The people we worked along side with were awesome. It was a big success and a memorable experience. Nicole and Zachery are an amazing couple devoted to their faith and have such an incredibly deep love for each other. We were thrilled to have been a part of their day and work on such a fantastic film.

We kicked off the new year with Katie and Chris at Summerour Studio in Atlanta, GA. These guys were so fun and easy to work with and their friends and family were a blast!
Our first destination was the Four Seasons for bride and groom prep where we were able to grab some beautiful detail shots of the dress and shoes in a small courtyard and we also used the same location for the emotional first look between the bride and her father. The staff at the Four Seasons was exceptional as always and provided us access to get the shots we needed. Our schedule permitted us plenty of time to capture bride and groom prep, bridesmaids first look, and capture audio and reactions for the heartfelt letters that the couple wrote to each other. Hats off to the bride for being so incredibly detailed. This day couldn’t have been more flawless!
Summerour Studio is one of my favorite venues in the city. It’s off the beaten path but close enough where you have a view of the Atlanta skyline. The front looks like a rustic villa while the interior has a modern industrial vibe. We arrived just before the couple’s scheduled first look to capture drone and establishing shots of the venue. I was so impressed with Summerour in February and the amazing decor.
Inside, the room was divided by a fabric curtain for the ceremony while the reception was being prepared. The ceremony took place in front of the grand staircase that was decorated with beautiful flower arrangements and warm candle light. The officiant was a family friend, which is always a great thing in my experience because it just feels so genuine and heartfelt. The ceremony was short and sweet and so were the vows. You could really see the spark and the love Katie and Chris had for each other.
The reception was an absolute blast and everyone had a great time! Sweet Water Junction Band was fun, energetic, and had an amazing repertoire of music. They just had such great attitudes and were very easy to work with. The night ended with a send-off via sparklers and a vintage car. It was a perfect day and I wish Katie and Chris many wonderful years together!
